An important strategy for achiving this goal is cultural responsiveness. but first, we need to understand what this means. Cultural responsiveness is an approach to teaching that recognizes and also values the diverse backgrounds, experience, and the perspectives of ALL students. its creating an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful off all cultures.

You might ask yourself why Cultural Responsiveness is important to incorporate in our classrooms...well, research has shown that culturally responsive teaching practices can have a positive impact on student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement. when students feel seen, heard, and valued, they are more likely to be invested in their learning. In the text book EDtech for k-12 classroom (p. 30), explains the importance of this topic. the author talks about how is incorporated in the classroom by making ¨meaningful connnections with the content and the students culture, language, and personal experience¨. If cultural responsiveness is not incorporate in classrooms, helping them new lesson to apply in a new life will likely not occur.
