Hands on AI projects for elective teachers
Dear Readers,
In this blog I'm going to write about Al technology and how it works. I will also be talking about how to use Al during school. Mainly I will focus on understanding that you don't just need to use Al for technology classes but for others. I'm specifically going to talk about Art. I will also go on to talk about Art projects that could be used with Al.
What is Al? (on page 5 of Hands-on Al projects for Elective teachers)
Al is a very helpful material to use. Al technology is used across all fields of study. from science to government to classrooms. to be able to have a successful education through k-12 you need to have a good understand about what Al is and how to use it. Al doesn't just need to be for Technology classes but many others like Art classes. understanding Al and learning about it can help you know what is Al and what is real. Al technologies accomplish tasks that are to difficult or impossible for humans to accomplish.
Al and Art ( page 26 of Hands-on Al projects for Elective teachers)
Human artist are able to use Al for there art pieces. when we think about the art of Vincent Van Gogh theres a distinct set of stylistic characteristics come to mind. in this project you'll learn various artist styles and then see how an artificial network can be used o apply stylistic elements into artwork.
Standards of the project (page 27 of Hands-on Al projects for Elective teachers)
1. Empowered learner- understanding the concept of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose and use technology.
2. Computational thinker- collecting data or relevant data sets.
3. Creative communicator- creating your own original works
Instruction of the project (page 28 of Hands-on Al projects for Elective teachers)
As stated in the article
"Ask students to imagine that a friend is going to a large art museum. While you don't know exactly what pieces will be included, you want to make sure your friend looks for art by your favorite artist. How might you describe the artist's style so that your friend recognizes their artwork without reading the name of every piece's artist? For example, does your favorite artist use primary colors or pastels? Do they work with paint or pencil or clay? Do they typically portray nature, people, animals, objects, or shapes?
"Now, ask students to imagine that they wanted to teach a computer to recognize artwork by the same artist. Do they think they could use the same descriptions, or would they need to use a different method?
Conclusion
This project should help kids in there art class the understanding of Al and how to use it during there art work. this also helps them in the future understand the concept of Al and when and when not to use it. by the end of the project they should know how to do all of those things
