Hyper Docs and Their Helpful Aid

What is a Hyper Doc?

"A Hyper Doc is an interactive document created by teachers to provide students with an engaging learning experience. A Hyper Doc is a digital document, accessible through any number of devices, that contains all the components of a learning cycle in one place. Within the document, students can find hyperlinks to all the resources they need to complete the learning cycle." -Mike Paul

Why use them?

Hyper Docs are useful for a number of reasons, but when used for lesson planning in schools, they are extremely helpful for the person-paced and multi-informative way of learning. This can be through videos presented by the educator or from apps such as YouTube or Edpuzzle, links leading to articles or reading, screenshots from pictures, and so much more!

What does a Hyper Doc look like?

Hyper Docs come in many different variations, but they all have the same typical contents, this being information relating to the lesson, a "what you learned" section with either answers due or work due, and multiple links or videos to information found to inform the students properly. This specific Hyper Doc, presented above and to the right, is created as an example of a Blog Lesson Plan Hyper Doc by Lisa Highfill. Using Hyperdocs, I was able to find many different examples which lead you to a google drive in which you can access, download, and edit to what you need it to be. Hyper Docs are a critical tool within education and can be used with any medium for any purpose.
