Virtual Tour of Africa

    My Virtual Tour to Africa!

Today I will be talking about a virtual tour I took today! I think virtual tours are a pretty neat tool to experience a place without actually physically being there. I chose to do the virtual tour of Africa because I love animals and natural wildlife and I knew it would be relaxing for me to watch. There were a few different virtual  tour videos to choose from and I chose two that caught my eye. The first was a small group of elephants stopping for a drink at a water hole. It was cute to see them using their trunks to drink, it was also cute that they were all together just getting a drink. I would like to say the quality of the camera that is used to capture these clips is very great. The second virtual tour I did showed two zebras just leaning on each other. I thought this was a sweet moment and it felt wholesome to watch. If you guys would like to watch the tours I am writing about, you can visit https://www.africam.com/sighting-highlights/ . Thanks for reading this week's blog post!

  1. Your virtual tour to Africa looked cool. Watching elephants drink and zebras leaning on each other must of been interesting because here in Jersey you could only see that at a zoo. I agree that virtual tours are a great way to explore places we might not get to visit in person. Were there any other animals you were hoping to see?

  2. A virtual tour to Africa must be difficult given the amount of protection given to the wildlife populations. Surely these animals are on a reserve or protected 24/7. However, if they aren't, that makes it even more fascinating! Seeing animals truly in the wild and free, not protected on a reserve is rare. It is unfortunate we have to protect animals on reserves, but maybe through education and through attention that tours like this can bring to the masses, more work can be done to protect animals to the point where illegal poaching is almost extinct, and the animals can be free to thrive again.
