What are HyperDocs?
- Hyperdocs are interactive digital lesson plans that run through Slides, Google Docs, or other platforms to create an interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning experience. This gives the student the ability to learn and collaborate at their own pace.
How does this Work?
- Hyperdocs are quite simple to use: First you come up with an interest or a hook, resources that can be explored from that. Their students can show their understanding and put their understanding on the topic in any creative way. To end it all it needs is reflection and sharing, encouraging all who see it to give feedback on what they have done or learned. Why use it?
- Hyperdocs promote interactive learning within the classroom, it promotes critical thinking and creativeness. Students can work on their own level without feeling rushed or falling behind. For teachers, this structured digital lesson plan allows them to be more organized and see where students may be improving or struggling.
By adding Hyperdocs into the classroom, teachers could create an interactive, collaborative, and engaging learning environment. These student-driven lessons can make student more capable to think on their own and learn at their own pace. Constant communication and reflection will need to happen and if it does the classroom environment will truly be special.
