Rare Book Room
Have you ever wanted to go to a museum based on focusing on books? Well welcome to the Rare Book Room! This online website is compiled of rare, old books from authors and writers from over 100 years ago! This website allows you to view selections and covers from actual old books in their original form. This not only gives the idea of print and literature, but how language as a whole has changed over years and years.
To see a specific book you're curious about, go to the top of the website and look at the top. There will be a search bar, under that you can search by category, author or library. When you find which book you'd like to view, click on it and then you should see a few images to the left of the screen near the bottom. This is the selection amount you'll be allowed to look through. Here you'll see the cover of the book and a few pages to see in their condition.

Purpose
Overall, the idea of using this website can be to inform yourself on old texts, languages and style of writing or ideas that were believed/created way back when! My thoughts on this website are that it is super fascinating and informative because you can see old texts that are nowhere else from some of the most popular writers in the world. The idea of displaying so many diverse different types of creative works is amazing and inclusive, while still being respectful to their original language and not translating, adding to the historical effect of this website.
This is so fascinating. I am a book lover and would absolutely enjoy going to this museum, which makes it even better that I can from my own home! I love how you provide details on how view specific books, as well as sharing the incredible purpose of this museum.
